Semiconductor technology equipment is China's strategic, basic and leading equipment industry. Currently, under the combined influence of multiple factors such as great power rivalry, international trade frictions, and the epidemic, the delivery time of equipment, parts, and materials has been extended or even impossible to supply. China is the world's largest semiconductor demand market, but the localization rate of equipment, materials and software is low. The contradiction between continued strong market demand and the shortage of critical materials has made localization an urgent need. There is huge room for domestic substitution, especially with the support of national policies. Driven by advantages such as major national science and technology projects, fund empowerment, capital assistance, talent training and industrial structure optimization, the localization of the semiconductor industry chain has ushered in leap-forward development.

In order to further promote and cooperate with the construction of China's semiconductor industry chain and supply chain security system, innovate the upstream and downstream localized collaborative R&D and application cooperation mechanisms, realize the reinforcement and strengthening of the chain, and at the same time lay out the future and seize the commanding heights of industrial development. To this end, the Wuhan Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Expo 2025 (OVC) has been planned to be held at the Wuhan China Optics Valley Science and Technology Convention and Exhibition Center from May 15th to 17th, 2025. The exhibition invites the semiconductor industry's "Government, Industry, University, Research and Investment" Jiali elites share and discuss, in-depth exchanges and cooperation to promote the high-quality development of localization of semiconductor industry equipment.
